These Terms govern your use of the Contact Groups app and service (“Contact Groups”, “we”, “us”). By creating an account or using the app, you agree to these Terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the app.

1. What Contact Groups is for

Contact Groups is a tool for a small, trusted circle of people to create groups and share a chosen set of contacts among the members of those groups. That is its only intended purpose.

2. Acceptable use

You agree that you will not:

• Harvest, scrape, mass-collect, or compile contact information to build a database, mailing list, or lead list.
• Upload your entire address book or contacts you have no relationship with; add only the specific people relevant to a group.
• Sell, rent, license, or otherwise transfer contact data obtained through the app to any third party.
• Use contact details from the app for unsolicited marketing, spam, automated messaging, or any purpose the contact would not expect.
• Add or share another person’s personal information without a lawful basis or their consent to do so.
• Use the app in a way that violates any applicable privacy or data-protection law, including India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act and the GDPR.
• Attempt to access accounts, groups, or data that are not yours, or disrupt or reverse-engineer the service.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that we reasonably believe are being used in these ways.

3. Your responsibility for shared contacts

When you add a contact to a group, you are sharing another person’s personal data. You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to share that information with the members of the group, and for honouring any request from that person to have their details removed. We provide tools to remove contacts at any time.

4. Your account

• You must provide accurate information and keep your login credentials secure.
• You are responsible for activity that happens under your account.
• You must be old enough to form a binding contract in your jurisdiction; the app is intended for adults.

5. Privacy

Our handling of your data is described in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

6. Availability

The service is provided “as is” and “as available”. We may change, suspend, or discontinue features, and we don’t guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.

7. Disclaimers & limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Contact Groups is provided without warranties of any kind, and we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, including any misuse of contact data by you or other group members. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

8. Termination

You may stop using the app and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms.

9. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Nothing here removes protections you may have under the mandatory laws of your place of residence.

10. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
